Watch: "2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships" Shares Preview Of Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition
The Lunar New Year special of MBC’s “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships – New Year Special” recently released videos of contestants practicing for the rhythmic gymnastics competition.
Seven idols will be competing in this event: (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua and WJSN’s Eunseo on the ball, LABOUM’s ZN and Cherry Bullet’s May on the ribbon, MOMOLAND’s JooE and ELRIS’s Yukyung on the hoop, and APRIL’s Rachel on the clubs.
In the videos, the idols give it their all in practice, performing with their respective instruments in full costume. In an interview on “Idol Radio,” Shuhua had shared, “We received training 19 times and each time was about three hours.”
Previously, this event has been won by APRIL’s Rachel and ELRIS’s Yukyung, who have experience in ballet and traditional Korean dance respectively.
