Lee Se Young Reveals How She And Yeo Jin Goo Filmed Their Kiss Scene In "The Crowned Clown"

Lee Se Young talked about what it was like filming a kiss scene with her “The Crowned Clown” co-star Yeo Jin Goo.

On the January 27 episode of tvN’s “Weekend Instruction Manual,” members Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sook, Jang Yoon Joo, and Lee Se Young headed off to their last trip together on Jeju Island.

During the trip, Lee Se Young, who is currently filming “The Crowned Clown,” shared, “It’s not hard, but fun. The set is great. Yeo Jin Goo is really kind, sweet, and dependable. He doesn’t feel like he’s younger, but rather seems older than me.” Jang Yoon Joo and Kim Sook complimented the actor, saying, “He’s good looking,” and “His voice is nice.”

Ra Mi Ran abruptly brought up the question, “So when is your kiss scene going to air?” Lee Se Young became embarrassed and shyly checked to make sure that the drama’s episode with the kiss scene would have aired before the variety show did.

Jang Yoon Joo asked for more details, such as if they had a deep kiss or if her eyes had been open. Sharing that her character was the one to initiate it, Lee Se Young answered, “Since we were filming, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I had to slightly lift my leg and since my eyes were closed, I just searched for his lips. I touched his chin initially, so I went up.”

The actress continued, “How could we finish in one go? We filmed it again and again. [The film crew] went back and filmed it from a different angle and then a bottom angle, filmed it a faster speed and then another speed. It was embarrassing.” She added, “Since it’s with Jin Goo, anything is great.”

“The Crowned Clown” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. KST.
