"The Item" Cast Shares Points To Look Out For In The Upcoming Fantasy Drama

The cast of MCB’s “The Item” has given viewers reasons as to why they should tune in to the new drama!

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “The Item” is a fantasy drama about a man and a woman that set out to uncover the secrets behind several mysterious objects with supernatural powers.

Joo Ji Hoon

Joo Ji Hoon is taking on the role of Kang Gon, a hot-headed prosecutor who becomes entangled in the mystery while attempting to save his beloved niece. He will be delving deep into the conspiracy and secrets that shroud the items. As the main point of the drama, Joo Ji Hoon said, “It’ll be a spectacle to watch. It’s a timeless story with black comedy.” He added, “It’s a project that makes you think about which actions will be meaningful when trying to protect something that’s important to you. I think it’ll be good to watch while keeping that in mind.”

Jin Se Yeon

Jin Se Yeon will star as Shin So Young, a talented criminal profiler who remains perfectly composed even when faced with the most horrific of crime scenes. When choosing a reason to tune in to the new drama, she picked, “The fact that the topic is the items.” She also picked curiosity for the items by saying, “An impressive variety of items will appear. Viewers will be able to enjoy the show more if they try to solve what special ability each item will have and how that special ability will be used.” The actress added, “The stories that unfold as we meet the people who use the items are really interesting, so please watch from beginning to end.”

Kim Kang Woo

Kim Kang Woo, who will be playing the evil Hwawon Group vice-chairman and sociopath, Jo Se Hwang, said that the focus point of the drama was, “The strong opposition between good and evil.” He explained, “The competition between the evil Jo Se Hwang, who uses whatever method necessary – even controlling Kang Gon – to get the item he needs to take control of the world, and the good prosecutor Kang Gon, who tries to save people in trouble and chases after Jo Se Hwang to punish him, will be very interesting to watch.”

Kim Yoo Ri

Kim Yoo Ri will be taking on the role of prosecutor Han Yoo Na, Kang Gon’s peer who will follow Jo Se Hwang. She picked “the fun of finding a new item and the tension-filled development” as points to look out for in the upcoming drama.
