GFRIEND Maintains No. 1 With "Sunrise"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, February Week 2
GFRIEND’s “Sunrise” is our No. 1 song for the second week in a row! Despite not picking up any additional wins on music shows, this song remains steady on all our chart sources. Overall, it still maintains a good margin with the rest of the competitions. Congratulations again to GFRIEND!
Moving up 11 spots to No. 2 is SEVENTEEN’s new song “HOME.” This is the title song of SEVENTEEN’s sixth mini-album “YOU MADE MY DAWN.” This is a heartwarming song about a man and his loved one as they support each other with comfort like a home. “HOME” swept all the music shows last week. However, this song’s internet chart score was a lot lower than “Sunrise,” so it has to settle for No. 2 this week.
Rounding out the top three is Chungha’s former No. 1 song “Gotta Go.”
There are two more new songs in the top 10 this week. Moving up 13 spots to No. 4 is veteran singer Lee Sora’s “Song Request.” Written by Epik High’s Tablo, this ballad is about listening to the sad stories told by radio show DJs and how it is comforting. BTS’ Suga is the featured rapper on this song. This all-star collaboration has prompted “Song Request” to receive a lot of attention and move up on our chart quickly.
Moving up 11 spots to No. 10 is Paul Kim’s latest hit “Traffic Light.” This self-written ballad is based on Paul Kim’s personal experiences and is about looking for happiness reminiscent of the past.
