Watch: MONSTA X's Kihyun Dances To EXO's

MONSTA X recently made a guest appearance on the February 26 episode of MBC FM’s “Idol Radio.”

During the show, Kihyun reenacted his performance of EXO’s “Tempo” from a karaoke meetup the group held early this year, drawing enthusiastic responses. Kihyun even borrowed DJ Ilhoon’s bucket hat for his dance.

Kihyun commented, “I really liked EXO. I saw them a lot during dry runs [rehearsals] because our promotional activities overlapped.”

MONSTA X also performed a powerful dance medley of their hit tracks such as “I Do Love U,” “From Zero,” “HERO,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Shoot Out.” Minhyuk also displayed his unique variety skills by acting as his character “Minok Sister,” which he previously showed in other variety programs.

The group then talked about their new album, stating, “For the first time, all of our songs [from an album] entered the charts. We’re so thankful and happy to be a MONSTA X that Monbebe are proud of.” The group had won their first trophy for their comeback track “Alligator” on “The Show” the same day.

Joohoney then talked about “Play It Cool,” the group’s collaboration track with Steve Aoki, and stated, “We had a video call with him once, and he told us to come to the U.S. It’d be great if we could work with him again.”

Wonho mentioned that “Stealer” was a song that could showcase MONSTA X’s powerful performance, but was eventually included in the album as a B-side track, instead of the title track. He also revealed that the group had recorded the songs three times, as it was one of the potential title tracks.

Kihyun finally concluded, “It’s the second week of promotions right now, but we’ll work harder and try to aim for achieving No. 1 wins. The concert announcement has been made, and our world tour is coming soon as well.”

MONSTA X released their new album “Take.2: We Are Here” and the MV for its title track “Alligator” on February 18.
