"He Is Psychometric" Cast Talks About First Impressions And Atmosphere On Set

On March 11, GOT7’s Jinyoung, Shin Ye Eun, Kim Kwon, and Dasom shared their thoughts on the new drama “He is Psychometric” through a V LIVE broadcast!

tvN’s “He Is Psychometric” tells the story of Yi Ahn (played by Jinyoung) who has psychometric powers (the ability to sense memories and feelings through touch) and Yoon Jae In (played by Shin Ye Eun) who has a dark secret in her past.

As the broadcast occurred before the drama’s premiere, Jinyoung and Shin Ye Eun expressed their nervousness with Jinyoung adding that he wasn’t even able to sleep well the night before. On the other hand, Dasom and Kim Kwon shared that they weren’t as nervous but felt a complicated mix of emotions while awaiting for the show to premiere.

Dasom also talked about her character Eun Ji Soo whose charm is “looking dressed up without dressing up.” She shared, “To show [my character’s] raw charms, I come out without getting dolled up. I’ve had plenty of opportunities to dress up pretty and cool in the past. This is a new attempt for me.”

At this, Kim Kwon complimented Dasom saying, “I’ve seen her dressed up a lot while she was promoting. I feel like she’s more charismatic when she’s not dressed up. It’s a new side to her.”

When talking about the mood on the set, Jinyoung shared, “It’s comfortable and fun. I talked about this at the press conference, but it feels as if I’m going on a picnic. When we were awkward in the beginning, I didn’t know how to approach them, but they approached me first. I felt sorry but also very grateful. The director films in a very fun manner as well, so it isn’t uncomfortable in the slightest.”

Shin Ye Eun also shared that she’s filming very comfortably as the other actors on set treat her well. She revealed, “When I’m in the waiting room, [Dasom] gives me something to eat. She likes gummies, so she gives me food like gummies.”

Dasom said, “I’m not shy, and I like people so it’s not hard for me to approach them. When I first met Ye Eun, she said that she attended the same high school as me. Because of that, I felt even closer to her. I felt more affectionate towards her and wanted to take care of her more.” She added, “When I give her something, she comes back to give me something again the next time. Jinyoung also bought bread from a well-known place for the press conference, and we shared that together.”

The cast also revealed which scenes from the drama they are most looking forward to. Kim Kwon shared, “I’m looking forward to the scene in which Yi Ahn first meets Yoon Jae In. I think it’ll be interesting.” Meanwhile, Dasom said that she was most looking forward to her first appearance and the ending.

Shin Ye Eun also shared that she was looking forward to watching the first meeting between her character and Yi Ahn. On her first impression of Jinyoung, Shin Ye Eun carefully said, “Can I say this?” She continued, “I guess he was very tired the first day, but his facial hair grew out so much I was surprised.”

Jinyoung shared that although he was nervous for the premiere, talking comfortably about the drama helped him to relax, adding that he may be able to watch the drama comfortably now. He said, “I’m looking forward to it as many people are having a fun time filming despite it being a thriller.”

Shin Ye Eun said, “When I woke up this morning, I was nervous and very concerned. I feel comfortable now that we’ve gotten together to wait for the broadcast. I’m thankful as I think there are a lot of people who are supporting us. We worked hard to prepare, so please enjoy watching.”

“He is Psychometric” premiered on March 11 amidst strong competition. The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. KST. Watch the premiere episode below!
