Woo Jin Young’s Agency Happyface Announces Final Lineup Of Members To Debut In New Boy Group
Happyface Entertainment has revealed the final lineup of members for its new boy group!
On March 12, the agency posted an official announcement about HNB (Happyface Next Boys) on Twitter, stating that they had completed their training and would be debuting in the first half of 2019 with five members: Woo Jin Young, Park Woo Dam, Kim Hyun Soo, Jung Yoo Jun, and Jo Yong Geun.
Although Happyface Entertainment had previously chosen a name for the group, after discussing the issue at length with the members, the agency announced that it had decided to select a new group name chosen directly by fans. The group name will be decided by fans’ votes, and the nominees and voting information will be shared through social media at a later date.
In light of the news of their debut, all five members posted handwritten letters addressed to their fans.
Woo Jin Young, who won first place on JTBC’s survival show “MIXNINE” before the project group’s debut was ultimately cancelled, said that he hoped to spend only joyful days with his fans in the future, putting all his waiting and anxiety behind him. He also thanked fans for their love and support, promising to become a better version of himself.
Park Woo Dam began by apologizing to the fans who had waited for a long time for their debut, explaining that they had practiced a lot in order to show their fans great things. He wrote that the fans and his fellow members were the reasons why he had been able to endure his time as a trainee, and he asked fans to walk only a flowery path with him from now on.
Kim Hyun Soo wrote about how it was thanks to the fans that he had been able to endure the long days of waiting, and he expressed excitement that it wouldn’t be much longer until the day when his dreams finally come true.
Jung Yoo Jun said that after thinking a lot about the best way to meet the fans who had waited for them for a long time, he had decided that it would be more meaningful if they chose their group name together with their fans. He ended his message by stating that he would become a singer that his fans can be proud of, adding that he loves them a lot.
Jo Yong Geun began his message by expressing excitement about his impending debut. He said that he hoped to create a future full of good memories with their fans by communicating and getting to know each other better. He thanked their fans for waiting for them and cheering them on, and he ended his message with a sweet “I love you.”
