ITZY Guards No. 1 With "DALLA DALLA"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, March Week 3
ITZY continues to dominate our chart with their debut hit song “DALLA DALLA,” repeating as No. 1 for the third consecutive week. This song picked up another four music show wins last week, on “Inkigayo,” “Music Bank,” “Music Core,” and “M Countdown.” The overall score is almost the same as last week. Congratulations again to ITZY!
Moving up three spots to No. 2 is N.Flying’s “Rooftop.” After re-entering our chart two weeks ago, this song keeps gaining support. Because of its success, N.Flying is also re-promoting this song on music shows!
There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. Moving up nine spots to No. 3 is one of last year’s top rookies, (G)I-DLE. They started their sophomore campaign with “Senorita,” the title song from their second mini-album, “I Made.” This is a dynamic dance song about a young woman’s instant attraction. “Senorita” won on “Show Champion” last week, preventing “DALLA DALLA” from sweeping all music shows.
Moving up three spots to No. 8 is Kassy’s first top 10 hit, “The day was beautiful.” This song was released on the last day of 2018 and slowly moved up our chart, finally reaching the top 10 this week. Kassy is both a singer and a rapper, and she was a contestant of “Unpretty Rapstar Season 3.” These days, she has switched to singing ballads. “The day was beautiful” is a calm ballad that showcases Kassy’s vocals. The lyrics, written by Kassy herself, is about a woman’s past relationship that was so good, but filled with regret that she did not realize until after their breakup.
