Brave Brothers Reveals He Originally Wrote Park Bom’s “Spring” For 2NE1

During an interview, Brave Brothers revealed that Park Bom’s new song “Spring” was originally written for 2NE1, and he also talked about the strong bond between Park Bom and fellow 2NE1 member Sandara Park.

Park Bom recently made her long-awaited solo comeback with the song “Spring,” which has been met with a positive response as it ranked high on various streaming sites. Brave Brothers was the producer for Park Bom’s new song, giving her his full support by composing, writing lyrics, mixing, mastering, and helping choose the music video concept.

During his interview, he revealed an interesting fact about the new song “Spring” as he said, “This is the first time I’m talking about this, but I actually wrote the song for 2NE1 about 12 years ago in 2007. This was even before 2NE1 made their debut. I had written the piano line for the song and 2NE1 even recorded their voices to go with it. The piano line that almost went to 2NE1 was brought back out 12 years later and rearranged to become Park Bom’s title track. Being able to work with Park Bom on a track that almost went to 2NE1 12 years ago is quite a unique experience. It’s amazing that I never gave that piano line away to anyone, and it’s amazing that I was able to work with Park Bom again.”

He also talked about the strong bond between Park Bom and Sandara Park. He stated, “I was so grateful to Sandara Park. She especially put in a lot of effort for the music video shoot. She had a different schedule that day, so when she was done, she drove herself to the music video set in the early hours of the morning. Seeing that made me realize just how strong their bond is. I heard that after listening to the final version of ‘Spring,’ the two of them hugged each other and cried. They shed tears because they were overwhelmed by memories of their past together.”

Brave Brothers had nothing but praise for Park Bom as he continued to explain how she had texted him after “Spring” topped streaming charts. But he added, “She was actually more moved when her first teaser video came out. She called me and she was sobbing. I thought something had happened but she explained that she was crying because she was so grateful that her teaser was released. She said she was both sorry and grateful to her fans. Hearing that made me think about just how much she had wanted to sing all these years. She knows how good her voice is, how much must she have wanted to show it. Because she’s so talented, I believe good things will continue to come her way if she stays humble and works hard.”

He also said that Park Bom’s unique voice is a big factor in the success of “Spring,” stating that her voice just goes so well with the song. He also talked about how the lyrics resonate with a lot of people as they struggle and wonder if their time will come. Brave Brothers also hinted that the partnership between him and Park Bom isn’t over, and that fans can expect more songs from them in the future.
