Mnet Responds To Reports Of "Produce X 101" Trainees Performing In "M Countdown"

On March 19, news outlet TV Report reported that the trainees of “Produce X 101” will be performing their title track “X1-MA” for the first time in front of the public during the March 21 broadcast of “M Countdown.”

In response, a source from Mnet clarified that while the trainees have completed filming their first performance of the show’s title track, the date hasn’t been set for when it will be revealed through “M Countdown.” The source said, “It could be [unveiled] on March 21, or it could be later. We have not confirmed the broadcast date of the performance.”

“Produce X 101” revealed on March 11 that the trainees completed recording for the title track and that viewers can take part in voting for the “center position” for the song. Following the announcement, the program unveiled 15 A-rank trainees who were competing to take the center position.

On March 20, the show will be showcasing all of the trainees in front of the public through a runway show. Hosted by Lee Dong Wook, “Produce X 101” is set to premiere sometime in the first half of this year.
