“Radio Star” To Undergo Changes Regarding MCs And Main Producing Director
On March 25, MBC revealed that “Radio Star” will make some changes regarding its hosts as well as the main producing director.
According to MBC, “Radio Star” will continue to feature four MCs in total. On top of the three MCs Kim Gook Jin, Kim Gura, and Yoon Jong Shin, they will be inviting a different special MC for each episode.
Cha Tae Hyun, who was one of the four MCs of the show, announced his departure from the program after messages were unveiled of him betting large amounts of money over a game of golf with Kim Joon Ho.
MBC further revealed that the main producing director (PD) of the show will also change from Hang Yong Rong to Choi Haeng Ho. PD Choi Haeng Ho is known for producing hit variety shows such as “I Live Alone” and “We Got Married,” with “Unexpected Q” as his latest production. He was also an assistant PD of “Infinite Challenge.”
MBC concluded, “The timing may seem a bit odd, but the change in the main PD of ‘Radio Star’ resulted from regular changes [every program goes through] in spring.”
“Radio Star” will begin filming with PD Choi Haeng Ho this week, from which the episodes will begin airing on April 3.
