Girls' Generation's Taeyeon Tops International iTunes Charts With "Blue"

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon took No. 1 on global iTunes charts and more!

Taeyeon released her new single “Four Seasons” on March 24 after sharing the music video for its title track of the same name on March 22. The single also includes the b-side “Blue.”

Her title track quickly shot to the top of all major realtime charts, and days later, the song still sits at No. 1 on the realtime and daily charts of most major Korean music sites as of March 27 at 4:30 a.m. KST.

On the digital album sales chart for China’s largest music site QQ Music, Taeyeon’s new single took No. 1, while the music video for “Four Seasons” topped the K-pop MV chart.

Taeyeon’s b-side “Blue” has also been a hit elsewhere in the world. It came in at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 11 regions: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and Vietnam.

Taeyeon will be holding her first solo Japanese tour “Signal” soon, starting with a show in Fukuoka on April 13.
