BTS’s Jungkook Explains Why He Hasn’t Released A Mixtape
BTS’s Jungkook shared an explanation about his mixtape at the group’s press conference on April 17.
In 2018, Jungkook shared plans to be the next BTS member to release a mixtape. At BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” press conference, the guys were asked if they have plans for new mixtapes. Suga replied that they’re always working on music and writing lyrics without knowing yet if something will go on an album or be released as a separate mixtape.
RM also explained that they don’t have an order to their mixtape releases or say “This person should release a mixtape” and then work on that project. Instead, they have a system where if someone wants to release a mixtape, then they work on it themselves and bring what they’ve created to the agency.
Jungkook cracked the others up when he said with a laugh, “Also, I said last year that I was going to release a mixtape. I want to sincerely apologize to our fans.”
“I’m not at the level of skill yet where I can release a mixtape on my own,” he explained. “I’ll practice more and try harder.”
V also said, “I hope that the day will come when a vocalist member releases a mixtape.”
