Ji Soo And Nam Joo Hyuk Talk About What Makes Their Friendship So Special

In a recent interview and pictorial for Leon Korea magazine, Ji Soo and Nam Joo Hyuk talked about their close friendship and why they’re grateful to have each other in their lives.

The two actors, who will be gracing the cover of the magazine’s upcoming May issue, flew to Hawaii together to pose for a sun-dappled photo shoot in both eye-catching formal wear and dressed-down denim.

While discussing their trip to Hawaii for the shoot, Nam Joo Hyuk happily recalled a past vacation in which the two friends had visited Jeju Island together, explaining that it had opened his eyes to a new style of travel. “I have great memories of our food-themed trip to Jeju Island,” he said. “After that trip, whenever I go somewhere, I enjoy walking around and eating.”

Ji Soo chimed in, “As we gradually spent more and more time together, we each figured out what the other likes and dislikes, so it feels even more comfortable traveling here [to Hawaii] together.”

The stars, who are famous for their close friendship, also shared that they feel lucky to be able to be as honest and open with one another as they are now.

“We talk about acting a lot,” said Nam Joo Hyuk. “Frankly, it’s rare for [two actors] to have a relationship where they can do this, but we tell each other honestly whether something the other did was good or bad. We’re really grateful to each other and thankful for this friendship.”

Ji Soo added, “But that doesn’t mean we only talk about acting. We also recommend songs to one another, and we talk to each other about lots of different things.”

Ji Soo is currently starring in the new Netflix drama “My First First Love,” which will be released worldwide on April 18, while Nam Joo Hyuk confirmed last month that he will be starring in the Netflix series “School Nurse Ahn Eun Young” (working title) next year.
