Lee Gikwang has gifted fans with a special track following his military enlistment!

On April 18 at 6 p.m. KST, the Highlight member released a digital single along with the music video for “Nothing.”

Lee Gikwang has enlisted in the military.

On April 18, Lee Gikwang entered the Nonsan Army Recruit Training Center in South Chungcheong Province, where he will receive basic military training before beginning his service as a conscripted policeman at the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency.

Lee Gikwang’s agency Around Us Entertainment stated, “Lee Gikwang quietly enlisted amidst farewells from his family, members, and agency employees around 2 p.m. KST. He promised to carry out diligent and exemplary military duties.”

Minutes before his enlistment, Lee Gikwang held a Naver V Live broadcast.

The singer said, “I turned on V Live because I wanted to say one last goodbye to you guys. I hope that you stay healthy and happy. I will successfully complete training once I enter [the center] and return safely without hurting myself.”

Lee Gikwang will be releasing a special digital single titled “Say Goodbye With a Smile” (literal translation) on April 18 at 6 p.m. KST. The singer said, “This is a song that [I think] beautifully captures our current situation. Son Dong Woon enriched [the track] with his great voice. I wanted to perform it during my concert, but I deliberately saved it [for later]. I wanted to give you another present.”

The Highlight member added, “10 years went by very quickly thanks to you. Please wait for me, and I hope you stay closely by [my side].”

Lee Gikwang also shared several photos of himself with his family and friends on Instagram.
