Lee Seok Hoon Shares Supportive Message For "Produce 101 Season 2" Mentees NU'EST

Lee Seok Hoon had nothing but great things to say about his former “Produce 101 Season 2” mentees NU’EST!

The singer appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U’s “Ji Suk Jin’s 2 O’Clock Date” on April 26. And while talking about music, the topic of NU’EST’s upcoming comeback came up. Four members of NU’EST (JR, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren) had appeared as trainees on Mnet’s “Produce 101 Season 2” in 2017, and Lee Seok Hoon had been a mentor on the show.

Another guest Park Seul Gi asked, “The members of NU’EST are making their comeback soon. In a way, you are now competing against each other as singers. Is that okay with you?” Lee Seok Hoon replied, “I don’t see us as competitors. The NU’EST members are such talented guys. I knew they’d succeed.”

Lee Seok Hoon was asked to leave a message for NU’EST and he showed his affection for them as he said, “I believe you are now able to focus and work hard on the music you want to do. The road you are walking down is the right one, so keep diligently moving forward.”

He also revealed that he’s been listening to NU’EST’s music a lot these days and said, “Baekho, especially, is able to keep hitting those high notes. He’s someone I have my eye on.”

NU’EST is gearing up for their first comeback in almost three years with their new title track “BET BET,” which will be released on April 29.
