Park Yoochun Continues To Deny Allegations + Hwang Ha Na May Be Called In For Joint Questioning

On April 28, singer-actor Park Yoochun once again denied allegations of illegally injecting drugs during the first questioning after being arrested (the fourth questioning overall).

The police agency ended the questioning after three hours at Park Yoochun’s request, who stated, “I need time to get the facts straight.” They plan to question him again on April 29.

A source from the police agency stated, “[Park Yoochun] seems to be greatly shocked by the decision to arrest him.” The source continued, “For a smoother questioning, we decided to get his testimony again at a later time.”

Previously, Park Yoochun was arrested on April 26. He is under suspicion of purchasing 1.5 grams of Philopon with his former girlfriend Hwang Ha Na on three separate occasions between February and March 2019 and injecting the drugs five times.

The usual amount of Philopon injected is 0.03 to 0.05 grams. Based on this, the two may have each injected a total of 0.3 to 0.5 grams of Philopon. Park Yoochun is currently denying all allegations regarding having injected the drugs.

While conducting a search and seizure investigation on April 16, the police did not find any Philopon in Park Yoochun’s home or car, but his hair collected during the search tested positive for the drug.

During the investigation, the police also found that Park Yoochun allegedly wired money to a bank account suspected to be a drug dealer’s account at an ATM in Seoul at the beginning of 2019. He has stated that he had wired the money only at Hwang Ha Na’s request, and denied knowing at the time that it was a drug transaction.

The police plans to investigate further by obtaining the account information in which Park Yoochun wired the money, and seizing Hwang Ha Na’s phone to look at the conversation between Park Yoochun and the man suspected of being the drug dealer.

In addition, the police is also considering examination by confrontation of both Park Yoochun and Hwang Ha Na, if it becomes necessary. The police will finish Park Yoochun’s questioning by the end of next week and forward their findings to the prosecution’s office.

Meanwhile, C-JeS Entertainment announced Park Yoochun’s retirement and their decision to terminate his contract on April 24.
