tvN Announces Panelists and Premiere Date Of New Music Variety Show

On June 16, tvN is launching their new music variety show called “Super Hearer” (literal title). Korea’s top musicians will appear as “hearers” and put their listening skills to the test. The musicians will have to pick the correct singer out of five without looking at their faces and only using their singing voices as a clue.

In addition to hearers, there will also be “villains,” who will make it difficult for the musicians to determine even the gender and nationality of the singers. Viewers can look forward to the musicians only using their ears to determine the identities of the singers.

The first hearers of the show were revealed to be Yoon Jong Shin, Kangta, Jang Yoon Jung, and K.Will. Many of them were previously judges of various music programs, but it is now their turn to be evaluated on their ability to discern different voices. The villains are set to be Kim Gura, Park Joon Hyung, and Hwang Je Sung, among others, and they will prepare to fool the hearers with their acting.

The producers of tvN’s “Super Hearer” shared, “Despite the distractions, the powerful and highly-esteemed people of the music industry will attempt to identify the correct singer only by ear and allow the program to offer both enjoyment and surprise.”

The first episode will air on Sunday, June 16 at 11 p.m. KST.

The show is directed by producing director (PD) Min Chul Ki, who previously produced MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer.” Watch the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer” below!
