IZ*ONE And fromis_9’s Agency Updates On Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters
Off The Record Entertainment has revealed updates on their legal action against malicious commenters.
Previously on October 17, the agency that houses IZ*ONE and fromis_9 announced that they would be taking legal action against malicious comments and defamation of their artists. On June 5, Off The Record posted to their artists’ fan cafes that they will be submitting the first bill of indictment against those who’ve posted malicious comments.
Below is a full statement from Off The Record:
Hello. This is Off The Record Entertainment. First, thank you to all the fans who have shown much interest and sent love to Off The Record Entertainment’s artists fromis_9 and IZ*ONE.
Last year on October 17, we informed through a notice that if defamation such as the spread of false information, malicious comments, slander, sexual harassment, and other such cases continue to occur, we would take legal action without settlement in order to protect our artists.
Currently, we are gathering material from information reported from the fans and through self monitoring, and we are planning to submit the first bill of indictment in mid-June to request an official investigation.
If afterwards, information about the agency’s artists is confirmed as malicious slander and false information and is sent to our email address, we will take additional legal action after careful inspection.
We would like to say again that we will be taking strong legal action without any leniency in order to protect our artists, and we will do our best to protect our artists’ rights and interests with continuous monitoring and active responses in the future.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone who has loved and cherished our agency’s artists, and we ask for your warm encouragement and support. Thank you.
