Stylist Talks About Working With Lee Min Jung, Girls' Generation, SEVENTEEN, And More

Stylist Seo Soo Kyung shared some fun stories about styling celebrities.

Some celebrities that Seo Soo Kyung is in charge of styling include Lee Min Jung, Jung Hye Young, PSY, Soyou, SEVENTEEN, and Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation. She used to work with Go Ara and Park Shin Hye, and SHINee’s Key was also her client before he enlisted in the military.

When asked about working with Lee Min Jung, the stylist said, “Lee Min Jung is very cool and easy-going. She enjoys military style outfits, so Lee Byung Hun once said Lee Min Jung has a whole army in her closet. She is by far the prettiest person I’ve ever seen, but she is also the most carefree person. I visited Lee Min Jung’s house once, and she has a huge closet.”

Seo Soo Kyung was also in charge of styling the members of Girls’ Generation, but she currently works with Sooyoung alone. The stylist commented, “I worked with [Girls’ Generation] for about eight years starting with their second world tour and the ‘The Boys’ album. Each of them has a different body shape, features to emphasize, and flaws to cover up, but I had no problem dressing them differently.”

The stylist continued, “Girls’ Generation had many fans, but this was my first time working with singers. I wasn’t aware of their popularity. While working with the group, their fans started to recognize me and called me ‘god Soo Kyung.'”

Seo Soo Kyung also talked about working with SEVENTEEN. The stylist said, “I’ve been working with SEVENTEEN since their ‘Very Nice’ era. I’ve done nothing but try to make their physical features stand out.”
