WJSN's Yoo Yeonjung Talks I.O.I's Lasting Friendship + Support For Jeon Somi's Solo Debut

Yoo Yeonjung shared an update on I.O.I’s friendship!

On the June 12 episode of the radio show “Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope,” WJSN (Cosmic Girls) appeared as guests. Member Yoo Yeonjung was asked about her friendship with former I.O.I group mate Chungha.

Yoo Yeonjung replied, “I went on a reality program together with her to help. It shows us going there to have fun and taking photos, talking over a campfire, and things like that, but the fans really liked it.” She joked, “Even when she likes something, she doesn’t show big reactions, so it looked like I was the only one who was excited.”

When asked if I.O.I still has a group chatroom, Yoo Yeonjung confirmed that they do, and said Weki Meki’s Kim Doyeon sends the most messages.

“Everyone’s busy lately with acting or dramas, so there aren’t explosions of hundreds of messages like there were in the past,” she said. “Still, even recently, Doyeon showed us Somi’s comeback video and said, ‘It’s a perfect fit for you, it’s pretty.'”

Jeon Somi will be making her long-awaited solo debut on June 13 with “Birthday.”

WJSN is currently promoting their comeback with “Boogie Up,” which earned them a win on “The Show” this week.
