Big Hit Addresses Issues From BTS’s “Muster” Fan Meeting In Busan

Big Hit Entertainment has responded to fans’ complaints regarding issues that arose on the first day of BTS’s “Muster” fan meeting at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium.

On June 15, approximately 100 people were stopped from entering the venue as their identity documents did not match the buyer information on their tickets. Many of those who were not permitted to enter were fans in primary school who bought tickets using their parents’ names or teenage fans who brought copies of their student ID cards instead of their actual student ID cards. Some of the younger fans’ parents who purchased tickets for their children presented certificates of family relations to prove their familial relationship, but the documents were not accepted. Several fans and their parents stood outside of the venue’s entrance and yelled, “Open the door!” repeatedly in protest.

Big Hit responded, “We carried out a thorough identity check to prevent ticket scalping. The identity checks were previously announced on the ticket purchasing site, BTS’s fan cafe, and social media.”

The announcement on Interpark’s ticket purchasing page for the fan meeting reads, “When receiving your ticket, you must bring a physical identity document through which we can confirm your identity as well as a ticket purchase record. If the identity document is not yours, you will not be able to receive your ticket or enter the venue.” It also reads, “When letting the audience in, we will check people’s identities at random to prevent the reselling of tickets. Even if you have a ticket, if we cannot confirm that the buyer information matches the identity document, you may be not be permitted to enter.”

Fans also brought up the issue about concert staff saying sexually offensive statements to fans, but Big Hit responded that there is no evidence to support this claim.

Meanwhile, the second day of the fan meeting will take place on June 16 at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium.
