"Produce X 101" Trainees Choose Their Own Top Picks

The July 12 episode of “Produce X 101” included the trainees naming their own top picks!

The contestants were asked who the No. 1 favorite “in their hearts” is among their fellow trainees.

Cha Jun Ho came in seventh with votes from trainees including Kim Yo Han, who described how he’s cheerful and always laughing.

Tied for fifth place were Son Dong Pyo and Lee Eun Sang. Son Dong Pyo gained a vote from his “dad” on the show, VICTON’s Han Seung Woo. “We have a natural chemistry without us trying to force it,” said Han Seung Woo. Son Dong Pyo was also voted for by Kim Hyeon Bin, who said his image is unique among the trainees and described how he’s good at expressions and knows his own charms.

Lee Eun Sang received votes from trainees including MYTEEN’s Song Yu Vin, Kim Si Hun, and more. Kim Si Hun said that while Lee Eun Sang appears shy on the show, he does stuff like have crazy dance parties with him in the dorm.

In fourth place was Han Seung Woo, who was voted for by Son Dong Pyo, Lee Han Gyul, Cho Seung Youn, and more. Lee Han Gyul said, “He’s cool and sexy on stage,” and Cho Seung Youn joked that he was so sexy in his performance that he almost got a nose bleed. Han Seung Woo said, “When I come off stage I go back to being a modest guy.”

Kim Min Kyu came in third place, with votes from trainees including Song Hyeong Jun and UP10TION’s Lee Jin Hyuk. Song Hyeong Jun said that Kim Min Kyu takes care of him the most, and Lee Jin Hyuk laughed over how Kim Min Kyu says confidently that he can do things but then can’t do them in the end.

In second place was Cho Seung Youn, who earned votes from trainees including Lee Se Jin, Hwang Yun Seong, and Nam Do Hyon, who talked about his various talents and the unexpected sides to him. “He’s someone who transforms into a really cool artist on stage,” said Nam Do Hyon, and Hwang Yun Seong said meanwhile he seems nuts off stage.

Hwang Yun Seong came in first place! He was voted for by trainees including Kang Min Hee, Keum Dong Hyun, MYTEEN’s Kim Kook Heon, and Joo Chang Uk. Keum Dong Hyun talked about he’s been friends with Hwang Yun Seong since they were in grade B together, and he wants to debut with him. As a prize for coming in first, Hwang Yun Seong received a new phone.
