OCN's "Voice" To Be Remade In Thailand + Confirms Cast

OCN’s “Voice” will be getting another remake!

“Voice” premiered in 2017 and is a thriller drama that centers around a 112 emergency call center. The first season was praised for bringing a brand new concept to life, and the second season currently holds the record for highest viewership ratings for an OCN drama at 7.1 percent.

Recently, “Voice” got a Japanese remake titled “Voice 110 Emergency Control Room” (literal title), which is currently airing during prime time, and now the drama will also be getting a remake in Thailand. Furthermore, the VOD rights for “Voice” were sold to 56 countries including the United States, Canada, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, and more.

The Thai remake of “Voice” will premiere on November 5 through the terrestrial broadcasting station True4U, which also aired XtvN’s “GOT7’s Real Thai” in January. Popular actors Andrew Gregson and Khemanit Jamikorn will be acting as the leads for the drama.

OCN’s director Hwang Hye Jung said, “‘Voice’ was a drama that many people sympathized with that was about saving people’s lives within the golden time, with the voice profiler chief Kang Kwon Joo (Lee Ha Na) being at the center of it all. In addition to the efforts of the actors and the production team, scriptwriter Ma Jin Won’s solid writing was the driving force behind the [drama’s] popularity.” She also expressed her joy of having “Voice” reach new horizons by being recognized for its popularity in the global market with the new remake.

CJ ENM’s head of overseas contents division Seo Jang Ho also commented that he was happy to see “Voice” receive two remakes in one year with a fitting cast and storyline in each country. He said, “‘The Guest,’ which has received many invitations for film festivals, and ‘Voice’ have established Korea’s [investigative and thriller] genre in the global market.”

With positive reviews each season, “Voice 3” recently came to a conclusion after receiving much popularity.
