9 Sexiest Male K-Drama Actors Of 2019 So Far

Here it is. The feature we’ve all been waiting for.

Before we get all superficial and base this list solely on looks, it’s not only about that. Yes, looks were considered, but there were also a few other qualities that determined the actors on this list. Aside from physical appearance, the actors included also give off an aura of confidence as well as charm. The characters that these men played in the dramas were super sexy and made their performances pretty unforgettable. Here’s a look at nine of the sexiest actors of 2019 thus far:

1. Sung Hoon

Sung Hoon plays the charismatic and arrogant An Dan Te in the recent MBN drama, “Level Up.” His cold and hard character seems pretty off-putting at the start, but once he meets Shin Yeon Hwa (Han Bo Reum), he becomes a soft and romantic character that’s easy to find super sexy. Although the confident and cold character was also pretty darn hot.

Sung Hoon always makes an impression with the characters he plays on the screen. It’s not just the confidence he exudes onscreen that makes him so charming – it’s also his ability to be so down to earth off the screen. Sung Hoon has been keeping himself quite busy this past year not only in the K-drama world, but also in the variety world. His recent appearances on “I Live Alone” have made him all the more sexy with his ability to be a bottomless pit when it comes to eating:

Irresistible, right?!

2. Jang Ki Yong

Jang Ki Yong has been keeping himself pretty busy in the K-drama world as of late. This year alone, he’s already starred in two K-dramas and made a cameo appearance in another. The role that was really the tip of the iceberg in terms of sexiness was his character Park Mo Geon in the recent tvN series, “Search: WWW.”

Yes, he was obviously really hot in the series.

Exhibit B:

But it’s also the persistence, loyalty, and complete adoration he has for Bae Ta Mi (Im Soo Jung) that made us totally fall for his charm. His relentless desire to want to be with her is so romantic and adorable to see!

3. Kim Jae Wook

Kim Jae Wook as Ryan Gold is essential on this list. His portrayal of Ryan Gold was not only incredibly sexy, but he also set the bar really high in terms of boyfriend expectations. Ryan is so understanding, nurturing, selfless, and caring when it comes to his girlfriend, Sung Duk Mi (Park Min Young).

Ryan is the quintessential male lead who makes it almost impossible for any other male lead to top him in terms of all-around perfection. Sounds pretty sexy, right? He is.

But let’s be real, Kim Jae Wook has always been pretty hot and hard to overlook when it comes to his characters on screen. I mean, remember his appearance as the lonesome and brooding hotteok chef in “Coffee Prince“?

That smirk, though!

4. Kim Ji Suk

Kim Ji Suk has always been one of those boy-next-door type of K-drama actors who are very subtle at making a good impression. And although he’s been making a fairly big impression in the variety world, it wasn’t until recently that he really started to stand out in his K-drama performances. This past year, Kim Ji Suk starred in the series, “Top Star Yoo Baek,” as the arrogant and snobby Hallyu star, Yoo Baek.

The drama is sweet and charming. But the real likes of the series came in the form of Kim Ji Suk in scenes like this:

We’re not even wondering why he doesn’t have a shirt on.

Oh you know, just casually sipping on some tea without a shirt on.

I mean, it’s no wonder he’s on this list, right?

The charm of Kim Ji Suk in this particular drama is his ability to be both hilarious and sexy at the same time! Even his arrogant nature at the beginning of the series before he falls in love with Kang Soon (Jeon So Min) is somehow sexy! He’s just naturally got it.

5. Kim Young Kwang

Kim Young Kwang has been starring in K-dramas left, right, and center. And we’re all the more blessed for it. He recently starred in “The Secret Life of My Secretary” this year as the CEO Do Min Ik, who struggles with face blindness. Although he comes off as being a bit of jerk at the beginning, Kim Young Kwang’s charm shines through, so much so that you can’t help but gush over him.

Him AND his three-piece suits. *heart eyes*

Let’s be real, Kim Young Kwang has always been pretty sexy. Ever since he was a model back in the day, I’ve always been pretty into him. There’s something about Kim Young Kwang that is both adorable and sexy at the same time.

Yes, it is, thanks to you!

6. Choi Jin Hyuk

Choi Jin Hyuk’s performance as the Emperor’s bodyguard, Na Wang Sik, in “The Last Empress” is pretty badass. The fight scenes, the love triangle, and basically seeing him in a black suit for most of the series was a gift, really:

Seeing Choi Jin Hyuk in a suit, looking tough and strong is definitely enough to send us swooning. And of course, we can’t forget that swimming pool scene that basically solidified the reason for Choi Jin Hyuk being on this list:

And you’re welcome.

7. Joo Ji Hoon

The sexiness that Joo Ji Hoon exudes is undeniable. We’ve always seen it, but it’s become even more evident this year, especially in his role as the charismatic prosecutor, Kang Gon in “The Item.”

Seeing Joo Ji Hoon as the sweet, doting uncle who passionately tries to bring justice for his niece was undeniably hot. Not to mention, the emotional scenes in the drama brought everyone to tears. There’s just something charming about a man who has amazing acting skills and that’s definitely Joo Ji Hoon!

What is it about actors who are so good with children?! That wind lamp scene in the drama is just SO adorable.

8. Yeo Jin Goo

Yeo Jin Goo has starred in three dramas already in this year alone! He starred as the orphan clown in “The Crowned Clown,” the robot Young Goo in “Absolute Boyfriend,” and most recently, the manager of a hotel for ghosts in “Hotel Del Luna.” Talk about a busy man.

It’s no wonder this young stud has been catching so many people’s eyes. All of these roles have been so different, and yet he’s been able to deliver them flawlessly. He’s been getting commended for his amazing acting abilities, which obviously makes him that much sexier!

In his most recent role, Yeo Jin Goo has been making hearts flutter by playing the manager of a hotel for ghosts in “Hotel Del Luna.” And although his character didn’t have me smitten to start, he definitely won me over pretty quickly. With his romantic gestures, fashion, and overall handsomeness, it really took no time at all.

9. Seo Kang Joon

Although the drama is still new, Seo Kang Joon is making an impression. His role as the rough and tough officer, Young Goon in “Watcher” has been refreshing. It’s been nice seeing him in more complex roles and I hope this is the start of a new trend for him because it’s seriously hot.

Something about seeing Seo Kang Joon play a cop with a lot of baggage and taking it out on criminals is intriguingly inviting. It’s a level of intensity that we haven’t really seen since his role as Baek In Ho in “Cheese in the Trap.” We’ve missed you!
