Police Conduct Search And Seizure Of Mnet’s “Produce X 101” Offices As Part Of Investigation
The police has conducted a search of seizure of the offices of the Mnet’s “Produce X 101” staff.
According to Mnet on July 31, the police has secured materials from the “Produce X 101” staff offices in the CJ ENM building in Sangam. A source from Mnet explained, “The police are currently conducting their search and seizure right now [as of 1:40 p.m. KST].”
“Produce X 101” is the fourth and latest in Mnet’s popular “Produce 101” series. The show recently ended with the group X1 being formed with Kim Yo Han, Kim Woo Seok, Han Seung Woo, Song Hyeong Joon, Cho Seung Youn, Son Dong Pyo, Lee Han Gyul, Nam Do Hyun, Cha Jun Ho, Kang Min Hee, and Lee Eun Sang.
However, after the show’s conclusion, the results were questioned when fans noticed that the gaps in vote counts between trainees were multiples of 7494.442. The staff had originally stated that they had no comment, but as the controversy grew, they released an explanation that the rankings were correct and that they had submitted a request for investigation.
Mnet’s statements have not been enough to quell the controversy though. Some viewers have created a commission and have begun the legal process of securing a legal representative and filing a case against Mnet.
