Watch: Song Seung Heon, Lee Sun Bin, And More Work Hard And Play Hard In "The Great Show" Set Video
On August 7, tvN shared a behind-the-scenes video from the first filming of their upcoming drama “The Great Show.”
“The Great Show” is about a former National Assembly member named Wi Dae Han (Song Seung Heon), who is trying to get back into the Assembly when he suddenly becomes surrogate father to a family of four problematic siblings. Lee Sun Bin plays Jung Soo Hyun, Wi Dae Han’s college junior and a TV show writer, Im Joo Hwan plays Kang Jun Ho, a conservative lawyer, and Noh Jung Ui plays the eldest of the four siblings.
The behind-the-scenes video shows Song Seung Heon throwing himself into his role, whether it’s volunteering for a political campaign and putting up banners or showing his character’s relaxed, disheveled appearance at home.
Lee Sun Bin brings an intense positive energy to every set she’s on, making everyone laugh with her antics and bursting into laughter herself as soon as the cameras turn off. When Song Seung Heon teases her about her line delivery, she pretends to kick him in response. In one scene, the director jokes, “It’s chaotic when [Lee Sun Bin] comes.”
Im Joo Hwan and Song Seung Heon, on the other hand, are still a little awkward with each other. When Im Joo Hwan stares after Song Seung Heon after the end of their scene, Song Seung Heon stops and jokes to the director, “Is he going to keep looking at me? Because I feel a little…”
Noh Jung Ui said, “It feels like we’ve already been filming for 3-4 months. The atmosphere on set is comfortable and friendly.” In one scene, Noh Jung Ui gets actually scared when Song Seung Heon acts out a startled reaction to the phone. With the kids who play her younger siblings, however, she encourages them while acting and plays around with them when the cameras are off.
