Sung Dong Il Talks About Being Close With Juniors Like BTS's V, EXO's D.O., Park Bo Gum, Jo In Sung, And More

Sung Dong Il recently talked about his juniors during an interview for his upcoming film “Metamorphosis.”

He commented, “I hold drinking get-togethers with my juniors often. The personalities of those friends who [drink] with me are great.”

Sung Dong Il added, “People my age can’t carry a conversation if we don’t drink.” He also revealed that his only hobby was holding get-togethers for drinking.

He explained, “Kids these days are able to talk for two to three hours at a cafe, but people my age can’t do that. I don’t force others to drink, and I don’t drink excessively so I don’t have any drinking habits.”

The actor then mentioned his juniors, saying, “I once filmed something in Busan, so I had a glass of wine with Taehyung [BTS’s V] and [Park Bo Gum]. I also met with Jo In Sung, Lee Kwang Soo, and Go Hyun Jung before Kyungsoo [EXO’s D.O.] enlisted in the military.”

When asked about how he was so friendly with his juniors, Sung Dong Il answered, “I don’t really point out things about acting. I just compliment them when they’ve done well and act as a friend.”

He continued, “There’s nothing better than working at a movie set. Because I’m earning money and working on something I love, I have to enjoy doing it.”

Director Kim Hong Sun’s “Metamorphosis” is about a face-swapping demon who places one brother (Sung Dong Il) in danger while another (Bae Sung Woo) tries to save him. The film premieres on August 21.
