4 Reasons To Look Forward To The Upcoming Premiere Of "The Great Show"

tvN’s “The Great Show” will be making its premiere soon!

“The Great Show” is a new drama starring Song Seung Heon as Wi Dae Han, a former General Assembly member who hopes to get back into office. In order to appear more relatable to voters, Wi Dae Han decides to take in four troublemaker siblings.

Here are four points to look forward to in the premiere of “The Great Show”!

Pretending to be a family

One day, Han Da Jung (Noh  Jung Ui), with her siblings Han Tak (Jung Joon Won), Han Tae Poong (Kim Jun), and Han Song Yi (Park Ye Na), visits Wi Dae Han while claiming that she is his daughter. In order to fix his politician image that has hit rock bottom, Wi Dae Han and Noh Jung Ui transform into father and daughter to create a pretend family.

Viewers can look forward to the refreshingly comical and touching scenes that will unfold as the fake family transforms into a real family by overcoming difficulties while living together.

Hilarious portrayal of “fatherly love”

Previously, during the drama’s press conference, Song Seung Heon shared that he went with a lighthearted tone while acting in the drama. Viewers will find it hilarious to watch his character go through the difficulties of raising four unique children, with the mature eldest daughter, the tsundere (appears to be cold but actually has a warm personality) second eldest, and the adorable twins. Viewers are highly anticipating Son Seung Heon’s transformation and are excited to see how the immoral politician will clash with the siblings as an inexperienced father.

Strong lineup of talented actors

“The Great Show” has a star-studded lineup, including Lee Sun Bin as Jung Soo Hyun and Im Joo Hwan as the perfect lawyer Kang Jun Ho. Not to mention, Noh Jung Ui, Jung Joon Won, Kim Jun, and Park Ye Na, who will be captivating the audience as the four siblings with their rowdy charms.

Furthermore, experienced actors including Son Byung Ho, Lee Won Jong, and Kim Hyun Lee will transform into Lim Joo Hwan’s father and Lee Sun Bin’s parents, respectively, to add even more tension to the drama. Park Ha Na as Kim Hye Jin and VIXX’s Hyuk as Choi Jung Woo will also add interesting chemistry to the drama with their irreplaceable charms.

Ill-fated love triangle

Another important point to look out for in the drama will be the love triangle between Wi Dae Han, Jung Soo Hyun, and Kang Jun Ho. Wi Dae Han and Jung Soo Hyun attended the same college in the past, and the two reconnect after Jung Soo Hyun coincidentally moves next door to Wi Dae Han. Later on, Jung Soo Hyun will be taking on a motherly role for the siblings.

Meanwhile, Jung Soo Hyun and Kang Jun Ho meet as the main writer and panelist for a current affairs program. Viewers are curious to find out how the romance between the three characters will unfold.

“The Great Show” premieres on August 26 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki with English subtitles.
