Updated August 28 KST:
In response to the reports, a source from X1’s side shared to Newsen, “We are currently in discussion with the broadcasting stations.”
X1 may not appear on major network music shows for the first week of their debut.
On August 28, news outlet SPOTV News reported that X1 will not appear on MBC’s “Music Core” nor SBS’s “Inkigayo.” This follows the previous day’s report about the group not appearing on KBS’s “Music Bank,” to which X1’s representatives responded by saying that the matter is still being discussed with the broadcasting station.
X1, a group formed by the 11 finalists of Mnet’s “Produce X 101,” made their debut on August 27 with their first album “Quantum Leap” and its title track “Flash.” The debut was a success as the album rose to No. 1 on iTunes album charts in at least 19 countries along with the track placing No. 1 on domestic music charts including Melon and Naver.
X1 is set to have their debut stage on the August 29 episode of Mnet’s “M Countdown.”
