gugudan's Mina And Lee Do Hyun Talk "Hotel Del Luna" Auditions, Reward Vacation, Bloopers, And More

Lee Do Hyun and gugudan’s Mina appeared on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song At Noon”on September 25 to share various stories about their time on tvN’s “Hotel Del Luna.”

When asked about their experience, Lee Do Hyun said, “When I heard that it was a script by the Hong Sisters, I thought it was such an honor. I was chosen for my role through an audition,” and he revealed, “I actually auditioned for the role Block B’s P.O played.” Mina also said she auditioned for her role and said, “When I first received the script, I knew that I really wanted to do it. I only saw the script up to the third episode, so I thought my character was only showing up till that episode.”

Following the drama, the cast and crew of “Hotel Del Luna” set off to Bangkok, Thailand for a reward vacation. Mina said, “I wanted to get a massage but I didn’t get to. Bangkok is famous for their massages, so you can’t go unless you make a reservation. By the time we got there, many places were full and I was too busy having fun as well.” Lee Do Hyun said, “It was so fun for us to all hang out together. When I was filming, I didn’t get to see the actors in the modern scenes very often, so it was nice to be with them. We’ve gotten very close now.”

When asked what kind of acting they’re most confident in, Mina had everyone laughing as she said, “I’m really good at throwing a tantrum,” while Lee Do Hyun said, “I’m good at being devoted. Someone who does everything for someone.”

The two also talked about who had the most bloopers, and Lee Do Hyun said, “I made way too many bloopers doing my first line of my first appearance. It was my first time acting in a historical piece, so things weren’t going the way I’d hoped. I received a lot of help from the director and IU.” Mina also picked herself and said, “I’m responsible for a lot of bloopers. In the scene when I’m venting to Goo Chan Sung (played by Yeo Jin Goo), and in the scene where I meet Ji Hyun Joong (P.O) for the first time, I think I kept making mistakes for an hour.”

Finally, Lee Do Hyun and Mina wrapped up their appearance by stating, “We were so nervous but it was really fun and time flew by. Our self-esteem has gone up a lot thanks to the comments sent in by viewers. Please continue to give us your anticipation.”
