Lee Dong Gun Talks About Difficulties Of Balancing Work And Child Care

On October 10, Lee Dong Gun attended a press conference for TV Chosun’s upcoming drama “Leverage.” During the conference, the actor briefly took time to answer a few questions about his wife Jo Yoon Hee and their daughter.

Ever since he got married in 2017, Lee Dong Gun has been working nonstop. He starred in SBS’s “Where Stars Land” and KBS’s “Angel’s Last Mission: Love” back to back, and he now faces the premiere of yet another drama, “Leverage.” Jo Yoon Hee also recently made her long-awaited return to the small screen for the first time in thee years with KBS’s latest drama “Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life.”

The couple welcomed their first child in December 2017. Lee Dong Gun stated, “Working so much after our child’s birth is not something that was planned.”

The actor continued, “It is emotionally difficult in a way. I miss my child, and I’m worried about her. However, my work will be shown to my child someday, so I can only work harder. I don’t want her to be embarrassed of me.” Lee Dong Gun concluded, “My wife and I are working hard while cheering each other on.”

“Leverage” will tell the story of Lee Tae Joon (played by Lee Dong Gun) who transforms from Korea’s former top insurance investigator to its top con man. He teams up with the best con artists to get revenge on the wealthy and corrupt. The drama also stars Kim Sae Ron, Jeon Hye Bin, Kim Kwon, and Yeo Hoe Hyun. It is a Korean remake of the U.S. series of the same name.
