Suzy Goes From Skillful Agent To Star Chef In “Vagabond”

“Vagabond” dropped stills of Suzy as a chef!

“Vagabond” tells the story of a stuntman named Cha Dal Gun (Lee Seung Gi) who stumbles upon a massive corruption scandal while trying to uncover the truth behind a mysterious plane crash. He teams up with a National Intelligence Service (NIS) secret agent named Go Hae Ri (Suzy) to investigate the case.

The stills show Go Hae Ri serving a warm meal to her NIS team members Cha Dal Gun, Ki Tae Woong (Shin Sung Rok), and Kim Se Hoon (Shin Seung Hwan). With a bright smile, Go Hae Ri walks to the table with a stew, sits next to Cha Dal Gun, and puts meat on his spoon full of rice. Ki Tae Woong watches the two with a strange look in his eyes, while Kim Se Hoon enjoys the meal with a satisfied expression.

Why is Go Hae Ri showing a friendly and sweet attitude towards Cha Dal Gun, and what is the meaning of Ki Tae Woong’s gaze? Viewers are already curious about the odd tension in the peaceful scene.

This scene was filmed at a studio set located in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. Suzy appeared at the scene first in a clean white shirt and black jeans with her hair in a bun, and she familiarized herself with the script and prepared for filming. When the other actors arrived, she cheerfully greeted them and talked happily with them. The scene was filmed in a friendly atmosphere, as if the actors were actually having dinner together.

In the drama, Suzy is not only fluent in English and Arabic, but she also performs high-level actions and skillful cooking. She impressed the production crew by making an effort to take action classes as well as Arabic lessons in order realistically portray her character.

The production company Celltrion Entertainment praised her, saying, “Suzy is an actress who always tries her best with enthusiasm. There are many aspects of her that resemble the passionate Go Hae Ri. Please look forward to the other half of the story that will make Go Hae Ri’s performance even more impressive.”

“Vagabond” airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. KST.
