JTBC To Take Legal Action Against "Witch Hunt" Staff Impersonator + Denies Rumors Of 2nd Season
JTBC will be taking legal action against an impersonator.
On October 17, JTBC released an official statement denying rumors of a second season for its variety show “Witch Hunt.” They also stated that the person who released this information was someone pretending to be a staff member of the show.
Read the full statement below:
We’ve recently learned that emails and posts written by someone impersonating a “Witch Hunt” staff member have been posted online.
Someone called “Kim Eun Young,” a new employee at JTBC’s “entertainment bureau,” was found to have been preparing “Witch Hunt 2: Women’s Stories About Men.” She also sent e-mails to certain people asking them to respond to a data collection survey for the production of the program.
This is completely untrue. Currently, we are not planning [to make] a second season of “Witch Hunt.” The name for JTBC’s variety show production division is not the “entertainment bureau.” A new employee called Kim Eun Young does not exist.
JTBC will find the author of these posts and take necessary actions, including legal action.
As this [matter] can easily cause harm, please avoid responding to similar posts.
