Jung Yu Mi And Gong Yoo's Film

“Kim Ji Young, Born 1982” has surpassed 1 million moviegoers five days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council, the film recorded 1,000,002,130 moviegoers on October 27 at 3 p.m. KST.

Film distributor Lotte Entertainment revealed that this is at a faster rate than other popular films such as “Aladdin,” which surpassed 1 million moviegoers on its sixth day; “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which achieved this feat on its ninth day; and Angelina Jolie’s latest Disney movie, “Maleficent 2,” which recorded 1 million moviegoers on the 10th day of its premiere.

Starring Jung Yu Mi and Gong Yoo, “Kim Ji Young, Born 1982” has remained at the top of the box office for four days since its premiere on October 23. Based on a best-selling novel by Jo Nam Joo, the film tells the story of a woman named Kim Ji Young who was born in 1982 and lives in the present year 2019 as a career woman, mother, and wife.
