Lee Young Ae Talks About Making Big Screen Comeback After 14 Years

Behind-the-scene stills have been released for Lee Young Ae’s upcoming film “Bring Me Home”!

“Bring Me Home” is a crime thriller about a woman named Jung Yeon (Lee Young Ae) who is contacted by someone that claims to have seen a boy who looks just like her son, who went missing six years before. This is Lee Young Ae’s first film role since she played the now iconic lead character in “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” in 2005.

The newly-released stills showcase Lee Young Ae monitoring her scenes in the film. She portrays the complex feelings of a parent who has lost her child in a delicate way through the role of Jung Yeon, who spends six years of her life navigating through emotions of guilt, despair, and longing. Despite these emotions, she never gives up hope of finding her child.

The actress is full of passion and energy for her role, and viewers are curious to see how the story of Jung Yeon, who is unable to trust anyone as she searches for her son, will unfold.

Lee Young Ae remarked, “The feelings of a mother who has lost her child were not easy from the beginning until the end. Instead of the image I’ve usually had, I think I’ll be able to show a new look.”

Director Kim Seung Woo added, “I admired every moment I worked with actress Lee Young Ae. She’s an actress who makes the air inside the frame feel different even as she walks away with her back turned towards the camera.”

“Bring Me Home” hits Korean theaters on November 27 after making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Check out a teaser here!
