Girl's Day's Minah To Star In New Film

Girl’s Day’s Minah will be starring in an upcoming film!

On October 30, it was officially announced that Minah would be appearing in the new movie “The Best Life” (literal translation), which will be helmed by acclaimed short film director Lee Woo Jung. The film will be based on the novel of the same name, which won publishing company Munhakdongne’s annual novel-writing competition for college students in 2015.

“The Best Life” will tell the story of the best and worst choices made by young adolescents as they go through an uncertain and difficult time in their lives. Minah will play the role of Kang Yi, a high school student who experiences a whirlwind of extreme emotions. Unable to trust either her family or her school, Kang Yi finds herself an outsider after being betrayed by the friends she admires.

After making her acting debut in 2011, Minah has proven her acting chops in dramas such as SBS’s “Dear Fair Lady Kong Shim” and “Absolute Boyfriend.” However, through her upcoming movie, the idol-turned-actress will be able to showcase her ability to portray an entirely different kind of character than those that she has played up until now.

“The Best Life” is currently scheduled to premiere sometime in 2020.
