Jeong Jinwoon's Agency Reiterates His Non-Involvement In Jung Joon Young's Chatrooms

Jeong Jinwoon’s agency will be taking strong action against malicious commenters who accuse him of being involved in Jung Joon Young’s chatrooms.

Earlier in October, Jeong Jinwoon addressed rumors that he was a member of a chatroom with Jung Joon Young. As Jeong Jinwoon filmed “Hitmaker” with Jung Joon Young, he became a suspected participant of an illicit chatroom. Jeong Jinwoon denied his involvement as he pointed out the chatroom was created for the purpose of filming and assured he would never see nor share uncomfortable videos as what had been reported.

On November 18, his agency Mystic Story released an official statement reiterating Jeong Jinwoon has nothing to do with Jung Joon Young’s chatrooms.

Here it is as follows:

Hello, this is Mystic Story.

We’d like to address the malicious comments and the spread of false information about our artist Jeong Jinwoon.

Once again, we’d like to inform you that Jeong Jinwoon has nothing to do with the problematic “chatroom.”

The chatroom that Jeong Jinwoon was part of was a separate group chat created for filming of an entertainment program at that time, and it is completely unrelated to the incident. In this regard, Jeong Jinwoon has never even been questioned by the investigative authorities.

However, his name is still being mentioned [in the case] due to distorted facts, and malicious comments such as malicious slander, personal attacks, and sexual harassment against Jeong Jinwoon continue to be heard.

We have determined that the matter is serious, and we are letting you know that we will take strong legal action against reckless and malicious slander.

Jeong Jinwoon joined the military last March and is serving faithfully. Thank you for your unwavering support and love for him. Please continue to support him.
