Distributor Of “Train To Busan” Sequel Film “Peninsula” Responds To Reports Of 2020 Release Date
The distributor of “Peninsula,” the sequel to the hit film “Train to Busan,” has responded to reports that they have decided on an exact premiere date.
On December 3, reports were made in French media that, “Director Yeon Sang Ho’s ‘Peninsula’ is set to premiere in August 2020. Specifically, the date is August 12, 2020.”
When asked to respond to the reports, a source from distributor NEW stated, “Though it is true that we are currently aiming for a summer 2020 release, we have not made any decisions regarding specific details for premiere dates in or outside of Korea.”
“Peninsula” will be the sequel to the 2016 film “Train to Busan,” and will be set in the same universe as characters make a bid to leave Korea after it is dominated by zombies. Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Lee Re, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, and Goo Kyo Hwan have been confirmed as cast members.
