Suzy Explains Why She Took Role In "Ashfall" Despite Short Screen Time

Suzy shared her thoughts on acting in the film “Ashfall.”

This action film chronicles the events following a volcano eruption on Mount Baekdu, leading to pandemonium over fear of a final eruption that could wipe out North and South Korea. It tells the story of a team of people who assemble to stop the disaster from happening.

On December 18, Suzy attended the press conference for “Ashfall” at the Yongsan CGV I-Park in Seoul.

Suzy began, “I had fun reading the scenario, so I really wanted to take part.” The actress doesn’t appear a lot in the film and plays the role of Ha Jung Woo’s onscreen pregnant wife.

Speaking about her character, Suzy said, “Ji Young’s screen time might be short, but I don’t focus on the screen time when choosing a project. There was a charm in doing a genre I hadn’t done before.”

When asked about Ha Jung Woo’s charming qualities, Suzy answered, “In Chang (Ha Jung Woo’s character)’s playful appearance was charming.”
