SF9's Dawon Talks About Dealing With Health Concerns

SF9’s Dawon revealed some health concerns he dealt with recently.

Dawon appeared on the December 18 episode of MBC’s “Radio Star,” and he talked about how he works hard to take care of his health.

Dawon shared that he regularly goes to the gym, doesn’t drink a lot, has never smoked in his life, and takes many supplements and foods known for their health benefits. He went on to share that he recently had concerns about his health.

“We have to do physical exams so that we can fulfill our military service [in the future],” said Dawon. “Part of that is a urine test, and in mine they found hematuria and albuminuria.”

Hematuria is blood in the urine, and albuminuria is an abnormally high level of albumin in the urine, which can be a sign of kidney disease.

Dawon was told to get further testing at a large hospital. “I was really busy though,” he said. “During that time, I kept thinking about it. I’d be dancing but just thinking, ‘Albuminuria. Hematuria.'”

When asked how it turned out, Dawon said, “I got the tests done. It’s said that if you exercise a lot, it can cause albuminuria. It ended up that the test for albuminuria came back negative. For the hematuria, I was told it’s not severe but I need to get a test done regularly a few times, once every three months.”

Dawon then said that he realized the importance of taking care of his health because his situation could have been worse if he hadn’t already been careful about living a healthy life.
