KBS Announces Daesang Nominees For 2019 Entertainment Awards
The 2019 KBS Entertainment Awards has revealed its list of Daesang (Grand Prize) nominees!
On December 20, KBS announced the six Daesang nominees for its upcoming annual award ceremony. According to the network, Lee Kyung Kyu, Lee Young Ja, Kim Sook, Jun Hyun Moo, the fathers of “The Return of Superman,” and Kim Seung Hyun’s family are in the running to win this year’s top prize at the 2019 KBS Entertainment Awards.
Lee Young Ja, who became the first woman in history to win a Daesang at the KBS Entertainment Awards last year, has been nominated for the award once again this year. The comedienne has recently been making a splash on the brand-new KBS variety show “Fun-staurant.”
Joining her in the nominees is fellow comedienne Kim Sook, who is only the third woman in history to be nominated for a KBS Entertainment Award Daesang (Lee Young Ja’s nomination last year made her the second). Kim Sook, who snagged the Top Excellence in Talk & Show Award in 2018, is currently appearing on multiple KBS variety shows including “Boss in the Mirror,” “Battle Trip,” and “Problem Child in House.”
Lee Kyung Kyu, who took home the Daesang at the 2010 KBS Entertainment Awards nine years ago, is up for the award once again as the star of “Fun-staurant,” while Jun Hyun Moo has been nominated for his appearances on KBS variety shows like “Boss in the Mirror” and “Happy Together.”
Finally, the fathers of the hit reality show “The Return of Superman”—Sam Hammington, Park Joo Ho, Moon Hee Jun, Hong Kyung Min, and Do Kyung Wan—have made the list of nominees together as one team. Similarly, Kim Seung Hyun’s family, who have stolen hearts on the reality show “Mr. House Husband,” have also been nominated as a group.
The 2019 KBS Entertainment Awards will air on December 21 at 9:15 p.m. KST.
