TVXQ's Changmin, Yoo In Na, And Sean Make Meaningful Donations During Holiday Season

Many celebrities have made generous donations during the end-of-year holiday season!

According to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation on December 24, Changmin donated 50 million won (approximately $43,000) to help children from low-income single-parent families in Korea. His donation will be provided to 100 children from these single-parent households for child care and tuition fees.

“I wanted to give a warm gift to these children of single-parent households,” Changmin said. “I hope every single child remembers Christmas as a happy day, regardless of the economic and social conditions.”

Changmin has made numerous donations to help children in need throughout the years, and he is also a member of the Green Noble Club, a title given to those who have donated over 100 million won (approximately $86,000) to ChildFund Korea. He has donated a total of 440 million won (approximately $378,300) in the last two years alone.

Later in the day, Xportsnews reported that Yoo In Na recently donated 100 million won to Cochlea of Love, an organization that provides cochlear implant surgery and hearing aids to children with hearing loss and supports them as they adjust to society.

The actress previously made a donation of 30 million won (approximately $25,800) to Cochlea of Love in September, and the organization was chosen as the main charity during Yoo In Na’s appearance on MBC’s “Funding Together” earlier this year.

In addition, it was revealed that Jinusean’s Sean donated 51.5 million won (approximately $44,300) to help support the construction of a Lou Gehrig’s Disease Nursing Hospital in Korea.

Back in October, Sean made a promise on social media that he would complete 1.5 kilometers (approximately 0.9 miles) of swimming, 40 kilometers (approximately 24.9 miles) of cycling and 10 kilometers (approximately 6.2 miles) of running in the 2019 Tongyeong ITU Triathlon and donate 1,000 won (approximately 86 cents) per meter. On December 24, Sean kept his promise by donating 51.5 million won to the Seungil Hope Foundation.

Sean has been working towards making his vision of building Korea’s first Lou Gehrig’s Disease Nursing Hospital into a reality after meeting Lou Gehrig’s disease patient and former basketball coach Park Seung Il in 2009.
