Industry Reps Vote For Artists They're Looking Forward To In 2020

Media outlet News1 conducted a survey on 21 industry representatives including agency staff, broadcasting producers, and songwriters about the artist they’re looking forward to the most in 2020.

The results were announced on January 4, and SEVENTEEN and (G)I-DLE came in at the top with two votes each.

A respondent who voted for SEVENTEEN shared, “SEVENTEEN’s growth in 2019 was notable. They had their world tour [this year], and next year, they will be going on a tour around North America and Europe. They even have a Japanese dome tour planned, so I’m anticipating their promotions next year.”

Regarding (G)I-DLE, one respondent said, “I’m looking forward to seeing what kinds of performances and appearances (G)I-DLE will show next year after their growth through ‘Queendom.'” Another respondent shared, “(G)I-DLE generated lots of buzz each week with Mnet’s survival program ‘Queendom,’ and since leader Soyeon’s songwriting and producing skills are being acknowledged, I’m looking forward to what they’ll be showing in the future.”
