Han Seung Woo’s Agency Comments On His Future Plans + Legal Action Against Malicious Rumors
Following X1’s disbandment, Play M Entertainment has released a statement explaining their plans for Han Seung Woo and his group VICTON.
The full statement is as follows:
This is Play M Entertainment.
We will inform you about the plans for future promotions regarding our artists Han Seung Woo and the other six VICTON members (Seungsik, Chan, Sejun, Hanse, Choi Byung Chan, and Subin) as well as our legal protection of the artists.
As reported recently, X1’s disbandment was confirmed, and we are making plans for activities in various areas so that Han Seung Woo can take a leap once again. We will provide unsparing support for his active communication with fans as well.
Above all, we will make sure that Han Seung Woo, who has worked without resting for almost a year since “Produce X 101” and his promotions with X1, gets sufficient rest. We plan to gradually make the decisions regarding the specific direction and plans for his future activities through thorough discussion with our artist.
We express our gratitude to those at Swing Entertainment who worked hard during X1’s promotions and to the fans of X1.
Moreover, through fans’ tips and monitoring by the department in charge, we have seen the various malicious posts that are being spread indiscriminately online that make personal attacks on, spread false rumors about, and defame the VICTON members including Han Seung Woo about X1’s promotions and disbandment.
We are gathering these cases of malicious slander and reviewing legal action through a law firm. We will continue to take strong measures while putting our artists’ rights and interests as our top priority.
Many promises are made at the beginning of a new year. To fulfill our promise, all of the staff at Play M Entertainment will do our best in 2020 for our artists and the fans who love them.
You may send us hurtful criticism, but we sincerely ask that you only show warm support for our artists. Thank you.
