TVXQ's Changmin Cheers On Super Junior's Kyuhyun On The 1st Night Of His Musical

TVXQ’s Changmin had nothing but praise for Super Junior’s Kyuhyun’s performance in the “The Man Who Laughs.”

On January 9, Changmin shared a photo of him and baseball player Hwang Jae Kyun posing with Kyuhyun backstage at his musical.

Changmin wrote, “It was the first performance today, but it was so nice. You worked hard! You were the best!” He added hashtags, “Cho Kyu Hyun,” “The Man Who Laughs,” “Hwang Jae Kyun,” “Good luck on this season as well,” “The Three Stooges,” and “Let’s meet up again.”

Following the performance, Kyuhyun shared photos backstage along with the dates for the days he stars in the musical. He added, “The first performance for ‘The Man who Laughs’ successfully ended. I’ll show you a good musical until March 1 with all of the cast and staff members. Let’s go! Thank you to everyone who came today.”

Based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo, “The Man Who Laughs” is set in late 17th-century England. It tells the story of a man named Gwynplaine who has a terrifying face but a pure heart, and sharply criticizes the fall of justice and humanity while shining light on the importance of human dignity and equality.

Lee Seok Hoon and EXO’s Suho have also been cast as Gwynplaine. Suho was a part of the musical’s original cast in 2018, while this is Kyuhyun’s first musical in four years.
