UFC Fighter Brian Ortega Apologizes For Violence Towards Jay Park

UFC fighter Brian Ortega has officially apologized to Jay Park for slapping him in the face at the UFC 248.

On March 11, Brian Ortega took to his Twitter to say, “I want to officially apologize to JPark for Saturday night, when Zombie is ready we can fight.”

In a previous apology (that is now deleted), Brian Ortega wrote, “On Saturday night, I slapped three people at the same time. I apologize for slapping the ‘translator,’ and I apologize for slapping the ‘K-pop star,’ but I don’t apologize for slapping the ‘Instigator.'”

On March 8 (local time), Brian Ortega, Jay Park, and Jung Chan Sung (also known as Korean Zombie) attended UFC 248 which took place in Nevada. Jay Park acted as Jung Chan Sung’s translator, but Brian Ortega assumed Jay Park instigated a fight between him and Jung Chan Sung. While Jung Chan Sung went to use the restroom, Brian Ortega approached Jay Park and slapped him in the face.

Jay Park expressed his wish to not sue Brian Ortega. He also wrote on Twitter, “Just watched the interview back and the funny thing is zombie didnt even say he pulled out. He actually said he already ran away from him once and i said ‘ducked him’ so basically the same thing. Ppl who sayin i mistranslated to hype the fight are dumb.”
