2AM's Jo Kwon To Be Discharged According To Military’s COVID-19 Protocol

Cube Entertainment shared the plans for Jo Kwon’s military discharge that is taking place later this month.

On March 19, the agency released an official statement via 2AM’s official fan cafe that reads:

Hello. This is Cube Entertainment.

We would like to inform you about Jo Kwon’s military discharge on March 24.

Due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), he will be discharged without returning to his army base.

We would like to sincerely express our gratefulness to everyone for waiting for him for a long time, and we ask for your support and interest in his activities after his discharge.

Thank you.

From around mid-February, the Ministry of National Defense has been regulating and restricting leave and visits for military personnel as a part of the Korean military’s efforts to combat COVID-19. Vacation dates have been adjusted so that those on their final vacation prior to discharge will be discharged from the military without returning to their bases. CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jung Shin were also discharged according this military protocol.

Jo Kwon enlisted in the military on August 6, 2018 and actively participated in many army musicals and songs. Fans are eager to see what he will do after he comes back from the military.
