Moon Ji Yoon's Final Commercial To Be Aired Posthumously According To His Family's Wishes

Moon Ji Yoon’s final commerical will be aired according to his family’s wishes.

On March 31, Moon Ji Yoon’s agency Family ENT released a statement, saying, “We will be airing the final commercial that Moon Ji Yoon filmed before he sadly left our side on March 18.”

The commercial in question was filmed back in February, between Seoul and Jeju. It was only his second time filming a promotional video in his lengthy 15-year career. Following his sudden passing, the company that filmed the video put the final production of the advertisement on hold out of respect.

Moon Ji Yoon’s parents decided to ask for the commercial to be aired as planned. In a statement, they said, “When Ji Yoon did his first commercial all that time ago, he told us about how happy it made him, and we have many memories of him talking of it while laughing brightly. We want to show that side of Ji Yoon where he was happiest and most joyful.”

“We are sincerely thankful to be able to share that last glimpse of our son with viewers and fans, showing the side of him doing what he loved,” they concluded.

Family ENT also added that, “Moon Ji Yoon showed the very best condition during filming, and enjoyed his time with the staff and the directors. He continually practiced to make sure he showed off his character to the best of his ability, and even between takes when it was time to rest, he didn’t leave the set and continued to show his passion for the filming.”

Moon Ji Yoon suddenly passed away on March 18 after suffering from acute septicemia. He was born in 1984 and made his acting debut in 2002 through the drama “Romance.” He went on to appear in many works, including the dramas “Hyunjung, I Love You,” “Sassy Girl Chunhyang,” “Iljimae,” “Big,” “May Queen,” “Cheese in the Trap,” and “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo,” as well as films including “Mr. Wacky,” “Cheese in the Trap,” “Whatcha Wearin’?” and more.

Moon Ji Yoon’s final commercial is currently set to premiere on April 7.
