Hwang Jung Eum Transforms Into A Mystical Pub Owner And Counselor In Poster For "Mystic Pop-Up Bar"

JTBC has unveiled a special poster for its drama “Mystic Pop-Up Bar”!

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, this drama tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) run by an ill-tempered woman (played by Hwang Jung Eum) and an innocent part-time employee (played by BTOB’s Yook Sungjae) who visit customers in their dreams to help resolve their problems.

On April 2, Hwang Jung Eum gave viewers another glimpse at her character as she posed for the poster with a bold and unique concept, message, and colors.

In the poster, the pile of customers’ chairs and the owners’ chairs are at the same height. The words on the poster say, “Customers come first! The owner also comes first!” Wol Joo, the owner, looks confident as she sits high above the ground, but also appears inviting enough for customers to join her for a drink.

In addition to being a pub owner, she is also a counselor who helps resolve people’s woes in their dreams. In order to help people living under other people’s authority, she enters their dreams and counsels them in a refreshing way. People who feel frustrated but have nowhere to turn will find themselves walking into the orange tent of this mysterious pop-up bar.

The drama will bring relatable moments to viewers with stories about being in a weaker position of power. Directed by Jeon Chang Geun of “The Queen of Office,” “What Happens to My Family?” and “The Package,” this new series premieres on May 20.
